It's incredible how images are able to express our feelings and the exact phase of our life. Unexpectedly we found ourself inspired and immerse in this world of colorful balloons, shiny white skyline and deep blue sky.
If my life was a fable, this would be the moment when everything becomes magical.
Going to an aquarium is always an interesting experience. The imagery that you can generate can be intense and intriguing with those colors, texture and movement in the silence of the water.
I love hikes and mountains. So, gathering with a bunch of friends and heading to a day hike, is one of the best thing to do in summer. Especially in Italy, where there are the most beautiful and breath-taking mountains in all Europe.
We went to Pasubio, close to Vicenza, in the pre-Alps, and the trail is called "Strada delle 52 gallerie" (Road of the 52 galleries). It's a military trail built during World War I on the massif of Pasubio, and it starts at Campiglia (1,219 m) up to gates of Pasubio (1,934 m). We actually reached the highest point at Cima Palon at 2,232 m and the whole trail took us 6 hours back and forward at normal paste.
The story about this trail is very interesting and bittersweet at the same time. This trail was the first line and theatre of a series of bloody battles between Italians and Austro-Hungarian armies during World War I. Along the trail are preserved many memories of these tragic wartime events: in particular, the Road of Heroes (Strada degli Eroi) was almost entirely excavated in the rock, to allow supplies to be brought to the Pasubio front from behind the lines, safely protected from the fire of the Austrian artillery. The road is a masterpiece of military engineering and bold, considering the conditions and the times in which it was constructed, and the rapidity of performance: work began on February 6, 1917 and was concluded in November 1917.
This year I've been to Hawaii, Kauaii precisely, and its unique landscape, wildness and colors, make this island very intriguing and a wonder.
In this trip I wanted to focus my photography on different themes around shapes and tones, trying to elevate details of the landscape that caught my eyes.

It always amaze me how the Hawaiian island are in some way a micro miniature world with its Canyon, Tropical woods, Vulcan, desert, rainy forest, beach, cities, and so on. As much as the green is really lush and colorful, the earth pops with his contrast warm colors and edgy shapes.

Russian River area, north from San Francisco. A beautiful valley surrounded by ancient redwoods, animals and silence. We spent the week end in Guerneville, a small eclectic town just a few miles from the Armstrong Redwood Park.
But I won't talk about the beauty of the Californian redwood this time, what catch my attention was the elegant fly of little hummingbirds. These birds have such a bizarre way to fly, quickly moving in any direction and then firmly freeze in fly. Untiring, steady and dogged.
The hero of this story is a Ruby-throated Hummingbird: brilliant, tiny, fast, precision-flying creatures shine like a jewels in the sun reflection. The coat color and the long beak, inspire a such a golden elegance and stylish. So regal and shiny...
